Lit Motors HK — Shipping Policy
Effective date: 21-September-2025
This policy covers delivery of vehicles, parts, and accessories purchased from www.litmotorshk.com and at our Tsim Sha Tsui office.
1) Fulfilment Scope

Vehicles: Hong Kong delivery, cross-border export, and global ocean/air freight on request.

Parts & Accessories: Local HK courier or self-collection; international courier/airfreight available to most destinations.
2) Processing & Dispatch
-
In-stock parts: Processed on business days (Mon–Fri, HK public holidays excluded).

Vehicles: Dispatched after completion of payment, ownership/registration paperwork, and (if applicable) inspection or export formalities.

Orders containing both a vehicle and parts may be shipped separately.
3) Delivery Methods
Hong Kong (parts): SF Express / courier / dedicated driver, or self-collection at our office.
Hong Kong (vehicles): Flatbed/driver delivery or customer collection from our facility.
International (parts): Express courier or airfreight (DDU/DAP by default).
International (vehicles): Ocean (container/ro-ro) or airfreight, using Incoterms below.
4) Shipping Costs

Shown at checkout for parts or quoted for vehicles/oversize orders.

Any remote-area surcharges, re-delivery, storage, or customs inspection fees are billed to the buyer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5) Incoterms & Risk Transfer (Vehicles)
Default options (confirmed on your invoice):

FOB Hong Kong – Risk transfers when the vehicle is loaded on board.

CIF [Port] – We arrange sea freight & insurance to the named port; risk transfers on loading.

DAP/DDP [Address] – Delivery to your premises; duties/taxes (for DDP) handled by us/our agent.
Title transfers upon full payment; risk transfers per the selected Incoterm.
For parts, risk transfers on hand-over to the carrier (unless DDP is stated).
6) Duties, Taxes & Compliance

Domestic HK deliveries: Local taxes/fees (if any) are included in your invoice.

International: Import duties, VAT/GST, brokerage, and compliance (e.g., NOVA/UK, EPA/USA) are buyer’s responsibility unless DDP is stated on the invoice.

Buyer must ensure destination-country import eligibility.
7) Insurance

Vehicles: Marine cargo insurance available on request (strongly recommended for CIF/DAP/DDP).

Parts: Courier insurance per carrier terms; additional cover available upon request.
8) Delivery, Access & Missed Attempts

Buyer must provide accurate delivery details and ensure vehicle/parts can be received (clear access, legal parking, contact person).

Missed appointments or refused deliveries may incur re-delivery or storage fees.
9) Damage, Loss & DOA
-
Inspect shipments on receipt.

Parts: Report transit damage within 24 hours with photos of the outer carton, label, and item.

Vehicles: Note any transport damage on the delivery note/BOL at handover and notify us immediately.

We will assist with carrier/insurer claims as per the shipping term and cover level selected.
10) Address Changes & Holds

Requests to change delivery address or place a shipment on hold must be made before dispatch. Post-dispatch changes may attract carrier fees.
11) Storage
-
Where a vehicle is ready but the buyer cannot accept delivery, we offer secure storage in Hong Kong. Storage fees and free-days (if any) will be stated on your invoice/booking confirmation.
12) Items We Cannot Ship
-
Certain hazardous materials/fluids or restricted electronics may be excluded or require special handling. We will advise before accepting your order.
13) Returns
All sales are final. Shipping errors or administrative mistakes will be corrected in line with our Returns & Refunds Policy.
